Set amongst a tapestry of fairy tale excess, Michael (Michael Alton Lowder), surrounded by dysfunctional, quirky, upscale family and friends, is reared and mentored by a black maid, Annie Mae (Lynne Newton) who helps Michael navigate through perplexing hilarious complications. Southern dysComfort is a dark comedy about a Southern socialite, his African American nanny and the privileged lifestyle of aristocrats in the South.
